The highlight of Ferruccio Furlanetto St Petersburg February tour was Massenets opera Don Quichotte, in which the acclaimed singer appeared alongside an ensemble of soloists from the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers who performed with dazzle and élan. On this occasion the audience was presented with a concert performance. There is, however, every hope that a stage version of Don Quichotte will be staged in St.Petersburg.
